MAINTENANCE TIPS
Your quad will be delivered to you boxed. When opening the box please take care when extracting the quad bike. Please do not try to force the bike out of the box and take care to unscrew the parts connected to the protective casing. Careless handling can result in damage to the bike and is not covered by the warranty.

The bike will require some assembly. Depending on the bike you select it may consist of putting on the tyres, tightening the handle bars, raising the suspension and tightening nuts and bolts. If you are unsure of anything please contact us.

We advise you to complete a safety check on your quad bike before every ride. Don't forget to check all nuts and bolts, breaks, lights etc. We recommend using Loctite Lock n Seal on all nuts and bolts to stop them from working themselves loose. Additionally all connecting parts should be checked with a screwdriver or spanner at regular intervals. It is prudent to follow the guidelines shown in the user manual. If in doubt consult a qualified mechanic.

The 50cc quads require a mix of unleaded petrol and 2-stroke engine. This consists of 24 parts petrol and 1 part oil. A measuring jug is provided with the quad.

Once set up please allow time for your the quad bike to warm up before going for your first ride. Do not rev up the engine too heavily during this warm up procedure. During the cold weather, especially in the winter months, allow more time for the engine to reach its correct operating temperature. It is essential that all areas of the engine be lubricated before opening the throttle.

With a new quad it is important to ‘run in’ the bike gently for the first three or four tanks of petrol. Revving the quad at top speed too quickly can burn out the clutch and prevent the bike from working.

Our quad bikes are ideal for riding in normal weather conditions. However, in cold weather you will need to take more care of your bike. If you intend to use your bike during the winter months we recommend you upgrade to a more powerful battery. This will allow the engine to start more easily and provide enough power to use lights without draining the battery.

All quads containg import oil on delivery. Although the bike will work perfectly well in normal conditions using transport oil, we recommend you upgrade to higher-quality 4-stroke oil. This will improve your quads performance. Please remember to change your oil at regular intervals. See the user manual for more guidance.

Check that the filter is cleaned before and after every ride. Please ensure all electrical fittings are watertight. Winter generally brings added moisture, which can cause problems with electrical connections. Additionally check all earths to the frame are connected properly as this is the most common cause of electrical problems.

Regularly check your brake fluids are at the correct level and completely changed the fluids once a year and ensure the chain is well oiled and lubricated.

Following these simple safety checks will help your engine run more smoothly, minimise any breakdowns and significantly extend the lifetime of your quad bike.

These are just a few pointers to help get the best out of your bike. Further guidance is given in the user manual provided with your quad bike.
